Granada Hills Renovation

Process

A young couple purchased this 40-year-old home because of the beautiful tree-lined neighborhood and a spectacular view from the back. The house had solid bones but was in need of an update. A sunken living room was raised, and all floors were resurfaced with stained concrete for a smooth, uniform look. Bathrooms were outfitted with custom cabinetry and updated fixtures and tile. Custom cabinets were designed for the family room. Updated doors, windows, fixtures, and fans brought the home up to date, and spray-foam insulation improved the home’s comfort and energy efficiency.

We worked with Solluna Builders to renovate our 1970’s home over the course of about six months. From the planning phase to the building phase, we have nothing but positive things to say. We were looking for a green builder, but also someone who could stay within our budget. Solluna met both of these requirements. Wayne and Mary were such a pleasure to work with and very dedicated to our project. From brainstorming ideas to problem solving solutions, Solluna listened to our needs and collaborated with us to make our vision a reality. They took a our dark and dingy house and turned it into a beautiful and bright retreat for our family. We enjoyed working with them so much that we plan to do phase two of our renovation with them in the future.
